Departments

By law, Illinois townships are charged with three basic functions: 1) general assistance for the indigent; 2) the assessment of real property for the basis of local taxation; and 3) maintenance of all roads and bridges outside federal, state, and other local jurisdiction. The Township's three department focuses on each of these functions.

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Friday: 8:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Tuesday: Closed
Assessor Office is Closed daily from 12:00-1:00 P.M. for lunch

The Bourbonnais Township Assessor's goal is to provide fair and impartial assessments on residential properties, providing equality for all taxpayers of Bourbonnais Township.

General Assistance Office

The General Assistance office, which is overseen by the Township Supervisor, provides information, assistance programs and public records.

Road District

The Township Highway Department offers free branch pick-up on the 1st Friday of every month to Bourbonnais Township residents who live outside Village limits.

The Bourbonnais Highway Department maintains roadways in unincorporated areas of the Township. The Road District plows and salts the township roads in the winter.
